Welcome to the home of the South Wake Amateur Radio Club. The purpose of S.W.A.R.C. is to promote interest in Amateur Radio and encourage the use of Amateur Radio for the public good. The Club provides educational opportunities for new hams and those wishing to upgrade their skills in amateur radio. We specialize in the training of new and upcoming hams for the purposes of emergency communications. We make ourselves available through a few different organizations to the community, the public, and/or government agencies in need of communications that are not readily available elsewhere. We would like to invite you to look around our website. If you are interested in becoming a member of our club, download an application here to become a member or attend one of our monthly club meetings. We welcome new members! Join us for our nightly nets at 7:30pm on the K4ITL 145.210 (82.5 tone) repeater. We look forward to hearing you on the airwaves.
Come out and join us this year for Winter Field Day. It will be held at NC4RA's QTH Saturday Jan 30. We'll fire up the radios around noon, but feel free to stop by earlier if you liked to help setup some antennas. No matter if you’re planning to setup, camp out, or just curious about Ham Radio; come out and see what it's all about. This is a great opportunity for you to kick those winter blues and come party with us. Plan on throwing the burgers & dogs on the grill around 2pm, oyster roast that evening and plenty of beverages & a bonfire to keep you warm!
